The Test

2019’s Hurricane Dorian is regarded as the worst natural disaster in the Bahamas' recorded history. Fenetex customer Shawn Fay has a house right on the beach on Great Abaco Island in the Bahamas. 

Dorian caused extreme flooding and mass destruction on the northwest islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama. Winds that peaked at 185 mph made it one of the most powerful hurricanes ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean in terms of 1-minute sustained winds. More than 75% of all the homes on the island were either damaged or destroyed. 

The Result

Shawn Fay's house was one of the few left standing, thanks mostly to the Fenetex MaxForce Hurricane Tracks on the home. Shawn’s neighbors’ houses had metal roll shutters which ripped off in the storm, while his High Velocity Zone Certified Fenetex screens stood strong.  

“The screens had no holes, and the tracks were still intact,” said Fay.
